What do I think of toxic masculinity?

I have a new poem up in the latest issue of Waccamaw from Coastal Carolina University.

The man scoffing at the quetzalcoatlus was a real thing I witnessed when I worked at the Field Museum. The museum had a lifesize statue of one and this guy was with his family and his wife says something like “can you believe something so big could fly?” and he goes “Hmph, I don’t think so!” And a different guy also once said the “like I give a FUCK” to a woman he was with in an airport so that everyone in the terminal got quiet. Both men had had their necks replaced with veiny pink head rests.

This poem also illustrates a theory I have that not only do people only pretend to hate puns, but they also really like SHITTY puns. To pretend that you don’t is self-harm.
